Pune, 15th December 2022: The competition “Jallosh Shikshacha 2022” has been organised at the student and school levels by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) from 14th December 2022 to 26th January 2023 to increase school students’ competitive, qualitative, and innovative thinking.

About 58,000 students are studying in 129 schools of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. These schools are divided into eight regional offices. Students and teachers must participate and compete at the school, inter-school, city, district, state, and national levels. It is also essential to foster a competitive atmosphere among teachers and students. Students will have access to a platform through the initiative to exhibit their ideas and creativity.

Simultaneously, students are supposed to focus on different fields – for example, academics, sports, arts and crafts, enrollment, soft infrastructure and so on – to spark their creativity.

Under the school competition, an evaluation committee will be established as part of the competitive initiative. The parameters will be checked by the committee.

The school level assessment will be conducted from 15th to 30th December. A total of eight schools will be designated as model schools – one municipal school each from each zone. Schools will also receive prizes. Schools will be enabled to spend 25% of the award cash on school development. The excess 75% will be spent to make the school a model school.

From 14th to 20th December, an information sheet will be circulated in all municipal schools by the Municipal Education Department and the sheet should be submitted to the Education Department. The evaluation committee will visit the schools from 26th December to 10th January 10 to physically verify all of the information on the sheet. Schools must hold internal competitions for students in grades five through nine on topics like “Smart City,” “Science and Technology,” “Climate and Environment,” and “Health and Hygiene” from 18th December 2022 to 12th January 2023.

A team of four students will compete at the school level. Models, case studies, reports, presentations, and other materials are expected from participating students on the given topic. The teacher and principal will choose a group from that.

The selected group from each school will sign up for the inter-school competition on 15th January 2023. A two-day carnival will provide the group with the opportunity to display their model. Additionally, they will be provided with a stall at the carnival to demonstrate the model to other school students attending the event. The best give models will be awarded at the festival. The Carnival program will be held on 24th and 25th January 2023.

Inter-school competitions, a game zone, book stalls, puppet shows, cultural programs, quizzes, a treasure hunt, and other activities will take place.

Additionally, a celebration program for various competitions will be held. On 26th January, a special aeromodeling show will be held on the grounds of H. A. for all municipal school students.
