Pune records a dip of 1% in hiring in November’15 over November’14: Naukri Job Speak Index
Telecom has shown a remarkable increase of 61% and Auto has recorded a 7% increase in Nov 2015 over Nov 2014
Advertising/PR/Marketing has registered upward movement of 34% whereas Healthcare has remained stable in Nov‘15 Index
Hiring activity in the oil and gas continued its decline in November 2015 as well and recorded a 34% decline over November 2014 for the third month in a row
Pune, 16 December, 2015: The Naukri Job Speak Index for the month of November 2015 for Pune indicated a dip of 1% in the hiring activity in comparison to November 2014. The sectors which recorded the maximum Y-o-Y growth were Accounting, Telecom and Advertising/Marketing/PR, while on the other hand, sectors like Oil and Gas showed a dip in their hiring activities in Nov’15 index.
Industry Sector Analysis:
Telecom and IT-Software sectors saw a significant increase of 61% and 18% respectively on hiring activities in November’15 over November’14. Other sectors like FMCG and ITES/BPO saw 19% and 11% Y-o-Y increase respectively, in their hiring activity over the same period. However, Pharma, Real Estate and Oil & Gas saw a Y-o-Y dip of 6%, 8% and 34% respectively in hiring activity in the same period.
Functional Area Analysis:
Hiring of BFSI professionals saw the remarkable increase of 20% Y-o-Y rise in their Job index value in November’15 over November’14. Marketing and Advertising saw 31% increase in hiring this year in comparison to last year. There was a 5% Y-o-Y decline in the hiring of IT-Hardware/Telecom professionals in the November’15 index.
