Pune: Two-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling Into Factory Water Tank

Katraj, 2nd January 2022: A two-year-old girl died after falling into a water tank in a cement pipe-making factory. In this case, Bharti Vidyapeeth Police has registered a case of culpable homicide against the factory owner.

The name of the deceased child is Surbhi Gautam (2). A case has been registered against Ashraf Ali Khan, a resident of Warje in this regard. Vimal Kumar Shivshankar Lal Gautam (26) has filed a complaint in this regard. The incident took place in AKRCC company near Daripula in Jambhulwadi.

The Gautam family works at a cement pipe-making factory which is owned by Ashraf Khan. A water tank has been constructed in this factory to soak the cement pipe. No security measures have been taken around this tank. Also, the safety cover is not included.

Surbhi who was playing at this place fell into the water tank. A search was made for her, but she could not be found. After noticing that she had fallen into the water, she was pulled out and admitted to the hospital. However, she died during treatment.
