Pune University face problems due to man-power crunch

“Covid-19 pandemic has created havoc in society. Many are losing their lives due to a shortage of various medicines and medical equipment. Although the health machinery is fighting with all its might, things that cannot be produced needed to be donated.

And among them is blood and plasma which is available in ample with the youths. Today, it is the need of the hour to donate it. Various blood donation camps have been organised at college levels. SPPU has taken up the campaign for plasma donation. To date, SPPU is with the administration for its fight against Covid-19 and will continue to do so.Since the vaccination programme for people above 18 will begin from tomorrow and medically it is proven that for 30 days after the vaccination, we cannot donate blood, I appeal to all to donate the blood. Those who have recovered well from Covid-19 and have completed 42 days should come forward and donate plasma. Then, they can take the vaccine later.

I request you to please register at the google form for the donation. This consolidated data will be available to all across the state for those who need plasma for medical purposes. I once again appeal to all to come forward, donate and encourage others for the donation.”
