TCS To Soon End Work From Home Culture; Doctors To Verify Medical Reasons
Mumbai, 13th October 2022: Amidst the debate on moonlighting, the country’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is slowly ending the work from home culture.
Under this, in the past, the company had asked its employees to come to the office for a three days a week. Now the company has made an important announcement for the employees to end the work from home system.
TCS will now provide work from home only to those employees who will submit authentic medical certificate. Now employees will have to give details of their illness or health-related problem to be able to continue work from home.
According to the report, the panel which will verify will include doctors from TCS.
The doctors in the panel will tell whether the employee is able to come to the office or not. After the doctor’s analysis, the company will allow work from home. Through this, the company wants to crack down on employees making excuses for work from home.
Earlier, it has been clarified in the internal mail sent by the HR department of TCS that work from home culture will not be encouraged. Cases of non-compliance will be taken seriously and necessary action may be taken.
