Team WACO Organizes Meet in Pune, Urging Transparency from Lok Sabha Candidates
Wagholi, 22nd April 2024: Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, residents of Wagholi voiced their dissatisfaction with incumbent Member of Parliament Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil at a recent gathering organized by Team WACO (Wagholi Against Corruption). The event, held on April 21 at Shreyash Garden Mangal Karyalaya, addressed various local issues including inadequate infrastructure, water shortages, and rising taxes.
During the conference, attendees raised concerns about the lack of essential amenities such as main roads, internal roads, and accessible water supply, as well as the absence of a government hospital in the area. They also criticized the continuous rise in school fees and demanded clarity on future development plans for Wagholi.
Team WACO emphasized the need for transparency and accountability from political candidates, urging them to demonstrate their commitment to addressing Wagholi’s pressing issues. The central question posed to candidates was: “Why should Wagholikars choose you as their Member of Parliament? We want to see tangible proof of your dedication to our community.”
The meeting underscored the residents’ frustration with current leadership and their desire for better representation in government. As the election season approaches, Wagholi residents are seeking candidates who will prioritize their concerns and actively work towards improving living conditions in the region.
