Witty Puneites Show Their Undisciplined Side To The World
Pune, 22 April 2021: Puneites in the world are known for their witty answers and “Puneri patya” (boards). These boards have always garnished appreciation as they would give a social message vis-à-vis insult a person in a subtle way.
But unfortunately, the Puneites are at the wrong end for the last few days. As Pune became the capital for highest Covid-19 patients, strict measures to ‘break the chain’, were implemented. Yet a few would roam around the city for no reasons. And when impeded by the police they would come up with funny excuses.

According to the police, people would make excuses like ‘I bought the milk, but now I am going to return the milk pouch”. Another would say, “I got a message from the bank. I am going to deposit the money. When the police reminded him that it was Sunday, the chap said, I too was wondering how on Sunday, I got the message to deposit the money”.
Yet another bird lover said, “I am going out to feed the pigeons”.
But the front line warriors, Pune Police taught these violators a better lesson.
