Bangalore, 21st March 2023: The ISRO Young Scientist Program 2023 has been launched by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

 

The registration period has already started, and the deadline to apply is April 3.

 

Interested students can register at ISRO’s official website, isro.gov.in/YUVIKA

 

Young pupils, who will be the future foundation of our country, are the target audience for the “Young Scientist Programme,” also known as “YUva VIgyani KAryakram (YUVIKA),” which aims to teach them the fundamentals of space technology, science, and applications.

 

Selection Criteria of Participants In YUVIKA-2023
Marks obtained in Class 8 or last conducted exam (Student): 50 %
Performance in the online quiz: 10%
Participation in science fair (school/district/state & above the level in last 3 years): 2/5/10%
Rank in Olympiad or equivalent (1 to 3 rank in School / District / State & above the level in last 3 years): 2/4/5%
Winners of sports competitions ( 1 to 3 rank in School / District / State & above the level in last 3 years): 2/4/5%
Scout and Guides / NCC / NSS Member in last 3 years: 5%
Studying in Village / Rural Schools located in the Panchayat area: 15%

 

Indian students enrolled in Class 9 as of January 1, 2023, are eligible to apply. Over the entire course, ISRO will pay for all course materials, housing, food, and other expenses.

 

Steps to Apply:

– Go to isro.gov.in/YUVIKA, the ISRO YUVIKA website.

 

– Carefully read the notification before selecting the registration link on the page’s bottom.

 

– Enroll in the programme

 

– Choose “Submit” to save the form for later use.
