Alert Loco Pilot, Asst. Loco Pilot and Chief Permanent Way Inspector Save a Senior Citizen

Mumbai, 18 July 2021: Alert Loco Pilot S.K. Pradhan & Assistant Loco Pilot  Ravi Shankar of Mumbai-Varanasi Spl. train 02193 applied emergency brakes at Kalyan platform while starting the train & saved a senior citizen who was crossing tracks. Santosh Kumar, Chief Permanent  Way Inspector CPWI shouted to caution them. The senior citizen was saved by their alert act and was later counselled not to trespass.  

Alok Kansal, General Manager, Central Railway announced on the spot cash award of ₹2,000/- each to the Loco Pilot, Assistant Loco Pilot and Chief Permanent Way Inspector for their timely act of saving the precious life of human being.

Railway administration appeals to travelling public not to trespass and endanger their life. Each life is precious to Railways.
Passengers are requested to use foot over bridges, lifts , elevators and avoid trespassing on railway tracks .
