Devotees Of Baba Amarnath Yatra Will Be Able To Stay At Panth Chowk Transit Camp, Arrangements To Be Made For 100 Washrooms

Jammu & Kashmir: Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ejaz Asad visited the transit camp at Pantha Chowk to see the progress of the yatra work and the facilities provided to the pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra. The Deputy Commissioner also oversaw the cleanliness drive. He looked at the prefabricated huts, proposed places for langar, water management, stalls to be set up by Self Help Groups and other works.

The Deputy Commissioner was informed that the work on the construction of two prefabricated huts has been completed and four more prefabricated huts would be completed by the end of this week, which would increase the capacity to accommodate the pilgrims.

The Deputy Commissioner asked to complete the construction works in double shifts and to complete it in two days.

More than 50 water tanks have been installed in the camp. He was told that one hundred mobile washrooms and 50 mobile toilets would be available. The Srinagar Municipal Corporation was asked to make arrangements for cleaning the camp on a regular basis.
