Notorious Vehicle Thief Arrested by Samarth Police Station in Pune

Pune, 19th April 2024: A notorious vehicle thief has been arrested by the Detection Branch (DB) of the Samarth Police Station in Pune. The suspect, identified as Lalit Suni Bhoi (also known by the surname Pardeshi), aged 29, is a resident of Parvati Gaon and has multiple cases registered against him in different police stations across Pune and Washim districts.

According to the police, DB constables at the Samarth Police Station received a tip-off from a confidential source about a man engaging in suspicious activities near Padamji Park Lane in New Nana Peth. After receiving the information, Senior Police Inspector of Samarth Police, Maruti Patil, dispatched his DB team to the location. The suspect was promptly arrested.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Lalit Sunil Bhoi was the same suspect who had evaded arrest in connection with a case registered under IPC Section 379 for vehicle theft. The stolen vehicle involved in the case had a registration number of MH 12 NQ 6573.

Interrogation of the suspect revealed that he had additional cases registered against him in other police stations, including Vishrambaug Wada, Sahakar Nagar, and Parvati Police Stations in Pune district, as well as Manora Police Station in Washim district.

The Samarth Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation and interrogation to uncover more details about Bhoi’s criminal activities and involvement in other cases.
