Pune: 13-Year-Old Girl From Sangvi Who Loves To Wander Reaches Mumbai Without Telling Her Family

Pune, 11th September 2021: A 13-year-old girl from Pune, who was fond of wandering, left the house without telling anyone. In this case, the Sangvi police immediately started the investigation after getting a complaint from her family and traced the girl in Mumbai.

The girl is currently studying in class VII and she loves to wander around and write a book on it. She decided to leave the house without telling anyone about it and reached Mumbai on Friday evening. However, due to police vigilance, she was handed over to her parents.

According to police, the family members searched their locality and then checked the society CCTV camera and found the girl going out and leaving the society premises. The girl’s family immediately informed the Sangvi police station.

Police further investigated the matter and checked the CCTV in the area. Meanwhile, Assistant Police Inspector Satish Kamble came to know that she had travelled from Wakad to Mumbai. He contacted the relevant travel company and got information about the girl. He showed her photo and identified her as the same girl. The travel driver informed that the girl had got down at Kharghar.

Police officer Kamble contacted the Kharghar police, sent a photo of the girl and asked them to search for her. Meanwhile, it was noticed that the girl was at a hotel in Kharghar around 11 pm. The police immediately spoke to her and informed the Sangvi police. She spoke to her father via video call facilitated by police. The police also assured him that his daughter was safe.

The investigation team included API Satish Kamble, Arun Narale, Pramod Gode, Anna Deokar, Kengle and Guttikond under the guidance of Senior Inspector of Police Sunil Topane.
