Pune: Passengers Demand Pest Control As Cockroaches Infest PMPML AC Buses
Pimpri, 27th October 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) administration has made air-conditioned bus travel available to passengers at regular ticket rates, aiming to enhance the comfort of their journey. However, a recent issue has arisen as many passengers have reported infestations of cockroaches on several of these AC buses, causing discomfort during their commute.
PMPML buses operate within Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad city, serving passengers within the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) limits. In an effort to make the passenger experience more pleasant and comfortable, several AC buses have been added to the PMPML fleet. These AC buses are particularly popular among passengers, especially during the scorching summer months.
Despite the efforts to improve passenger comfort, reports indicate that some buses have become home to unwelcome guests – cockroaches. Passengers have observed these pests roaming freely on the seats and even on fellow passengers after the buses come to a brief stop at the main bus stand.
The presence of cockroaches in these buses has understandably left passengers dissatisfied and uncomfortable. As a result, passengers are now calling for immediate pest control measures to address the issue and ensure a more pleasant and hygienic journey for all.
