Pune: PCMC Commissioner Interacts With Citizens; Addressed Traffic And Parking Issues
Pimpri, 17th December 2022: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh addressed some of the important issues including infrastructure development, traffic management, and parking management.
The commissioner interacted with the citizens through Facebook live. It was organized by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Pimpri Chinchwad Smart City Ltd.
While answering one of the questions, he said that the incomplete BRTS (bus rapid transit system) link from Bhakti Shakti to Mukai Chowk will be completed by the end of May 2023. He likewise urged residents to utilise more public transport and bicycles for short distances.
According to the commissioner, there will be more parking space under the bridge for the public. In areas like Bhosari, Sakhubai Garden, YCMOU Campus, Pimpri Market, Pimpri Croma Store, and Chinchwad Station, the government will provide more multilevel parking.
The commissioner also asked people to use more pedestrian zones. This management refers to various programs, strategies, and policies that result in more efficient use of government resources by the people.
