Pune: St. Vincent’s High School Dominates Loyola Football Cup with Record-Breaking Win

Pune, 18th July 2023: St. Vincent’s High School set a new tournament record in the Under-14 section of the Loyola Football Cup powered by Tata Autocomp at the Loyola H.S ground, Pashan here on Tuesday.

Aided by eight scorers four of whom netted three each, St. Vincent’s H.S steamrollered past CM International in a statistical one-sided encounter.

The tournament, organised by the Ex Loyola Students Network (ELAN) and Loyola High School, Pune saw St Vincent’s H.S win all their matches against CM International. The Under-12’s won 7-0, while the Under-16s won 4-0.

The day however belonged to the Under-14 St. Vincentians’ who ran riot. Shlok Mithapelli (6th) set the ball rolling early and then added goals in the 15th and 47th minutes respectively. Thereafter, it was a goal-riot as Param Bhargav (8th, 28th, 30th), Pranav Motwani (12th, 16th, 22nd) adeed themselves to the three-goal group.

Ethan Lobo (21st), Aaron Baben (24th, 40th), Naytik Gupta (38th) and Neil Jagdale (39th) contributed their bit, before Jonah Ambat (27th, 41st, 43rd) became the fourth player to geet into ‘Club-3 Goals’.

In the Under-12 section Ansh Lodha (28th, 35th, 38th) spearheaded St. Vincent’s H.S 7-0 win, with Vihaan Shinde (4th, 29th), Samyak Bhandari (20th) and Anvic Lobo (26th) scoring the rest.

The Under-16 section had Shaunak Dhapate (1st, 18th, 29th) net three out of the 4-0 win that St. Vincent’s H.S logged, with Nathan D’Souza (51st) completing the tally.
