Pune/Solapur, 17th July 2026: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the “Sapt Jyotirlinga Shravan Special Yatra” under its Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train initiative. The special pilgrimage train will begin its journey from Solapur on August 11, 2026, offering devotees a 13 nights/14 days tour covering seven major pilgrimage destinations, including five Jyotirlingas.

Passengers from Pune will be able to board and de-board the special train, along with passengers from Solapur, Kurduvadi, Daund, Lonavala, Karjat, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Dahanu Road, Vapi and Surat.

The pilgrimage itinerary includes visits to Dwarkadhish Temple (Dwarka), Somnath Jyotirlinga (Veraval), Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga (Ujjain), Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga (Nashik), Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga (near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga (Markapur).

According to IRCTC, the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will accommodate up to 750 passengers and will operate with three travel categories—Economy Sleeper (SL), Standard 3AC and Comfort 2AC.

Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager, IRCTC West Zone, said the train has been planned to provide devotees with a comfortable and hassle-free pilgrimage during the auspicious month of Shravan.

The tour package includes train travel, accommodation in budget hotels on a sharing basis, pure vegetarian meals throughout the journey, sightseeing, local transfers by suitable vehicles, travel insurance, and assistance from IRCTC Tour Managers.

IRCTC said arrangements have been made to ensure passenger comfort, safety and hygiene during the journey.

The package is priced at ₹24,050 per person for Economy Sleeper Class, ₹39,730 for Standard 3AC and ₹52,400 for Comfort 2AC.

According to Dr. A.K. Singh, Spokesperson, IRCTC West Zone, the initiative is part of IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train programme for promoting rail-based pilgrimage tourism.
