Savitribai Phule Pune University Nears Completion of Revaluation Process; Results to be Announced Before Winter Session

Pune, 18th October 2023: In an update that will offer relief to many students, Dr. Mahesh Kakade, the Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), has announced that 90% of the revaluation of answer sheets is now complete. The remaining results are expected to be announced within the next week.

According to the university, the revaluation process for courses in Engineering, Architecture, Arts, and Commerce has already been completed, and the results have been declared. The pharmaceutical and science technology branches are in the final stage of re-evaluation.

Current Revaluation Status by Department

  • Engineering: Final year results declared; 80% work completed for 2nd and 3rd years; first-year paper examination in the final stage.
  • MBA: Paper examination started.
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA): Results declared.
  • Degree in Commerce (BCom): Results declared.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc): 90% completion.
  • Architecture: Results declared.
  • Pharmaceutical: Paper verification at the final stage.
  • Law: Results completed.

Upcoming Winter Session

Dr. Kakade also assured that all students will receive their revaluation results before the upcoming winter session exams, slated to be held after Diwali. “This will help students prepare better for the next semester without having to retake any papers,” he added.

No Need for Panic

Students who have already filled out exam forms before receiving their revaluation results need not worry. Once the results are updated, fees for any subjects the students have passed will be refunded. “The computer will automatically update the results, and the examination fee for the relevant subject will be refunded,” said Dr. Kakade.

Academic Schedule Affected by the Pandemic

The academic schedule has yet to return to normalcy due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The exams initially expected in October are now scheduled for the last week of November. The university emphasized the importance of coordination between students, examination authorities, and colleges to minimize the impact on students’ academic progress.
