Maharashtra CET Syllabus For Eight Courses Announced

Mumbai, 21st December 2022: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) announced the Common Entrance Test (CET) syllabus for eight courses for admissions for the academic years 2023-24. Accordingly, there will be an examination of 150 marks for law and 100 marks for BEd-MEd (education) and BPEd-MPEd (physical education).

 

CET is conducted every year for various professional courses in the higher and technical education departments. The syllabus and marks criteria of CET under the jurisdiction of the DTE have recently been announced by the State Common Entrance Examination Cell (CET Cell). After that, the Curriculum Director of CET under the Directorate of Higher Education, Dr Shailesh Devlankar, announced the marks and criteria for admission to eight courses, which will give students direction to prepare for the CET exams.

 

According to the criteria announced by the DTE, the CET exam of 150 marks will be conducted for the three and five-year courses. For that, although the subject is the same, the marks will be independent. For BPEd and MPEd there will be a written test of 50 marks and a physical test of 50 marks. There will be an exam of 100 marks for BA-BEd, BSc-BEd, and BEd. The BEd English Language Content Test (ELCT) will be of 50 marks. For M.Ed as well as BEd-M.Ed integrated courses there will be a CET of 100 marks. The examination of the relevant courses will be conducted online. There will be no negative marks system in the exam, Dr Devlankar has explained.
