PMC Appointed Liaison Officers For Merged Villages

Pune, 2nd July 2021: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) appointed liaison officers for the newly merged 23 villages. Each village will have one officer and the officer will keep watch on the daily work of these villages in the initial days.

 

The work will be done with the help of employees working during the gram panchayat regime and the villagers. This includes daily cleaning, water supply, electricity supply and other services provided by the gram Panchayat.

 

The PMC gave charge of these villages to the nearer ward office on Thursday, 1st July. The ward office has acquired important documents including gram panchayat’s bank account, employee’s daily presence register and property tax register etc.

 

The appointed officers include deputy, junior engineers. They will look after citizens’ problems, difficulties and also accept their applications. The officer will also prepare a report about necessary work to be done in the village. The Gram- Panchayat employees will continue their routine work under the guidance of this officer. Initially, the work will be done on the ward level.
