Pune: PCMC Orders Departmental Inquiry Of Four Executive Engineers For Poor Road Work
Pimpri, 16th December 2022: Anil Raut, the Construction Department’s Executive Engineer, Deputy Engineer Vijay Singh Bhosale, Junior Engineer Sachin Sanap, and Sachin Magar’s will be investigated by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) because the contractor is doing poor work on the road from the Ramkrishna Mangal Office to the Narmada Garden at Pimple Gurav. In this regard, the order was issued by PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh.
After concreting the road, growth cutting should be completed within 48 hours. However, it took longer than a month. A one-member committee concluded that concrete is an important cause of air cracks in road surfaces. The report states that some of the core results are of lower quality than the tender standard after samples from those locations were tested. Concrete of lower quality was used than the tender standard for roads. However, it was ignored by the contractor.
Eight months after the work was finished, it was reworked. As a result, issues have arisen. It is abundantly clear that these officers have failed to perform their duties with integrity and conscientiousness, resulting in inexcusable delays and neglect. The contractor defrauded the municipality financially by performing substandard work due to a lack of effective control and supervision over the road work.
As a result, Commissioner Shekhar Singh has ordered a departmental investigation against these four engineers. Their service book will contain a record of this order.
